No. For the Turtleneck® Straw we only use food-safe, taste-neutral stainless steel of material quality DIN 1.4301 - the gold standard in the food industry, which can therefore be found in every kitchen. Cooking pots, drinking bottles and cutlery are also made of this stainless steel.

The Turtleneck® Straw can be cleaned quickly and without leaving any residue in the dishwasher. If there is no dishwasher available or if stubborn drink residue needs to be removed, the cleaning brush provided can also be used.

Good to know: The diameter of our drinking straw allows sufficient water flow for safe cleaning in the dishwasher. The high-quality material also ensures that the Turtleneck® Straw is at least as hygienic to clean as, for example, a glass straw.
